For a period of no less than 2 years, there was a political juggernaut that was virtually unstoppable. The party of liberalism and equality ran throughout the country, unrestrained by any opposition, unchecked by even the highest court, and unphased by the cries of objection from the citizenry who enabled it. You would think that within that 2 years that every social cause they carried a torch for would have been addressed. From racial inequities, to immigration, to welfare...they had the opportunity to put into place the very policies they have been clammering for...but what did they do? They focused themselves on 0bamacare, environmental causes, and socialism. They didnt do any of the things they said would lift sectors of the population up, they focused on things that would bring the nation down. They didnt reach into the inner cities and eliminate poverty, or heal racial divides, no. They instituted policies that made it worse, while continuing to promise that better times were ahead. Now why would they have not take advantage of their unbridled power and fix all those things theyve been crying about for years? Because there is more value in a promise spoken than a reality delivered. The left knows all too well that as long as there is a perceived injustice that they will be able to pander to those wronged, a vote to be gotten. They proved once and for all that the only use they have for any minority group, or any other downtrodden group is at the ballot box. Yes, they could have done a world of good for a world of people, but that would have meant that they promoted freedom, and equality for many people, and that in time, those people would have very little use for their promises tomorrow. And without a promise to offer, there is no vote to be gained, no power to be retained, and no issues to justify ones own existence. Why are things still so bad?? Because there is no incentive to make things better. And THAT is the truth. And as always.....0bama sucks!
