For a quick and quirky Addams Wednesday, Im sharing a post from CBS via Christy Sly. I was way more into cartoons back when the Twilight Zone series was in its heyday, but I do remember some of these episodes. In particular, I recall being so frightened by the grotesque faces in Eye of the Beholder that I had to run to my bedroom. I also remember when the protagonist in Nightmare at 20,000 Feet pulls back the window curtain and sees the gremlin looking back at him--but I did not know until now that the actor (the protagonist, not the gremlin) was William Shatner. This knowledge may make me hesitate the next time I buy a plane ticket on Priceline. And I remember, as already an avid reader, deeply sympathizing with the bookworm (played by Burgess Meredith) in Time Enough at Last, even though I didnt get my first glasses until a few years later. I still think of that episode whenever I settle down with my e-books for a nice long bus ride--and discover my phone is out of battery.
