For all MiraCosta Tutors or people who used to do one on one sessions at the Tutoring Center in MiraCosta. I wonder, is the tutor actually allowed to see the tutees feedback and hand it back to the tutee? There was a tutor who helped me in Spanish and this person was great except for the fact this person did not know the grammar rules very well, which is one of the main reasons I went. So I used my time productively and instead worked on a writing assignment and this tutor was great with helping me with writing strategies. However, I did not expect to get my feedback back, especially to the exposure this tutor has done. It honestly felt rude and awkward, I felt I was being punished for giving this person a 4/5 instead of 5/5. Which probably deserved an honest 3/5 anyways. I was really upset to see several grammar rules on the back of my feedback along with scribbles so the pen would write well on the side that actually had my feed back. I did not like this confrontation, which this tutor personally delivered to my work. If this tutor would have liked to confront me that is fine, but in private, not when Im on the clock in front of other customers. It was not professional at all and I wonder if I should report this person. What do you guys think? It did happen last semester but I still see this tutor and it honestly upsets me and I dont think this tutor should get away with pulling a harassing stunt like that to students who actually give the time to give back feed back.
