For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God(Rom 3:23). Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.(Heb. 12:2) - KJV We know that we have all sinned - both in Adam and on personal basis - and come short of the glory of God. But Jesus came to redeem us and as many that accepted the salvation that is in Him, He gave a new life and right to be called the sons and daughters of God. Because it is faith in Christ that saved us,we are counseled to continue looking unto Him - follow His examples and teaching for the perfection of our faith. Thus, it does not please the Lord when as Christians we continue to weigh our spiritual growth and righteousness against the lives of other people instead of Christ. For the faith that grows and does good work we must continue to gaze on Christ while trusting that His grace and mercy shall cover our shortcomings. Let us be imitators of Christ first and foremost. Peace.
