For all my friends and family and friends Of Geri I want to let you know that I brought her home today under the care of hospice. This is such a blessing to have this service as they are all about making her comfortable at home giving her whatever she needs for her final journey in life. They have lifted a huge burden off of my shoulders with their way of dealing with patients. She has not ate any solid food since one morning about a week ago and is now down to about 85 pounds. I do have a very solid support group in her twin daughters and my daughter that I know will help in a heartbeat if needed and will help me to get out of the house also. When that day happens I know she will at last be at peace and rest as she has suffered more than a lot of people ever realized. Parkinsons is a very slow moving disease in most cases taking away some of you bit by bit. I do know this that the Lord will and has guided me through this 15 year journey and will continue to be my strength. I am not one to shout out about my religious beliefs but I firmly believe he is with both of us every step of the way! Geri has always been an amazing woman and it has been my blessing to have her in my life. With her attitude she has made caring for her my blessing.
