For all my friends in South Sudan, as trouble continues; The following is a pretty fierce prayer said by St Patrick at a time he was in danger and the world around him was in conflict- everything was at war and falling apart and he was in trouble, real trouble. He is calling on God to bring the full force of heaven into where he was, pushing out and away all the darkness. At South Sudan in this fateful hour, I place all Heaven with its power, And the sun with its brightness, And the snow with its whiteness, And the fire with all the strength it has, And the lightning with its rapid wrath, And the winds with their swiftness along their path, And the sea with its deepness, And the rocks with their steepness, And the earth with its starkness: All these I place, By Gods almighty help and grace Between myself and the powers of darkness Amen If you do pray this, pray it from the heart with courage and in an unshakable faith in our God :) . bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-26798721
