For all my friends who have experienced or are experiencing this...I found this factoid on a religious website referring to blended families: High Level Brainwashers (which can be anyone familial related or emotionally involved to the child): HLBs are professionals at wrecking parent-child relationships. They are masters at turning their perceived victimhood into manipulative lies intent on destroying their own child’s affection or bonding for the other parent or step-parent. This mental child abuse causes lasting scars, and it often takes years before the child realizes the fraud and lies perpetrated onto them, if ever. I am so thankful that my ex and I could put our differences aside for our boys in this regard. We have had our moments, but they are very few. My boys have people in their lives from their extended and blended families who show nothing but love and mutual consideration for each other, and for them, and we have encouraged our boys to love and respect people that are good to them. It really does make all the difference in shaping their character and having children that dont grow up feeling bitter and full of hate and inner unhappiness.
