For all new sailors, current sailors, listen up and LISTEN GOOD. Your uniform doesnt make you anything. The man or woman inside of it does. Furthermore, do not get this brainwashed idea that you are responsible for everyone having the freedom to do whatever. Thats the constitution. Dont think you are better than the next man. That police man puts his life on the line to make sure your community is safe. That farmer yields his crop so you can eat over in Afghan. Those teachers(thank God)put up with our sometimes errant children so they can have an education while you are on the ship trying to provide for them. Those firefighters rescued your family member in the middle of the night. Those pro athletes are your stress relief when you on a deployment. Stop this nonsense as if we are supposed to be put on some sort of pedestal. If I learned one thing coming up on my 12th year of active is this. Bullets dont have eyes and everyone puts their pants on the same way. We are all human, and we all need each other. No one human is more extraordinary than the other. Have a fine Navy day.
