For all of you History buffs out there, heres another event coming up in September that looks really fun!!! September 20 — Great Santa Rosa History Hunt Looking for something new to do? Remember how much fun scavenger hunts were when we were kids? The Historical Society of Santa Rosa is hosting a History Hunt, open to the public. The Hunt will begin at the Sonoma County Museum parking lot. Have a great time while learning about the history of our city. All the locations in the hunt are located within walking distance of downtown. Contestants will be given a list of twelve clues, each of which corresponds to a famous Santa Rosa City landmark. Each site will have two volunteers, dressed in period costumes. Find the site, find the volunteers and receive your Historic Site Card. The first participant to return with all twelve Historic Site Cards to the starting location, the Sonoma County Museum, will receive a cash prize of $50! The second and third contestants to return with the highest number of Historic Site Cards wins bragging rights! Details: The hunts starts at the Sonoma County Museum - 425 7th Street, Santa Rosa Clues released at 10:00 a.m. The Hunt closes at 2:00 p.m (but feel free to keep going until you find all the sites!) Cost: $10.00 per person in the form of a donation to the Historical Society of Santa Rosa. Children under ten are free.
