For all of you excited about Universal Healthcare.. let me tell you a little of how its going to go you! In trying to avoid the huge cost of using the ER, I did a drop in apt with my family practice provider for abdominal pain. She and I feel it could be my gall bladder. She orders an Ultrasound (as we cannot do anymore until I have that done). I have to wait for authorization. I get the authorization today only to find out that I have to wait another week to get IN TO GET THE US! Are you serious? I may as well just go to the ER!
