For all of your phone users out there! Please dont lie to us or yourselves by saying, Id never inconvenience anyone with my phone. Every time you pull that electronic piece of plastic out in public you ARE inconveniencing other people. Whether you are talking too loud in a public place forcing others to hear what you are saying, being so involved with your texts or emails that you make everyone, except you, miss the light. This article was sent to me by a friend who I tried to have lunch with today but we ran out of time due to the restaurant being busy. It wasnt the fact it was busy, it was the fact the tables were full and neither of us can sit comfortably at a high top. As we scanned the restaurant. we noticed two things. One - not many people were eating at the tables, and two - they were on their phones. You are so wrapped up in your little microcosm of a world that you are spending twice the time in a restaurant than most patrons, making not only the waitstaff angry but all of the people waiting for a table. You need to get to your table, open your menu and order. THEN you can pick up your toy and play wit it. But when your food arrives, do not take so many pictures and texts about it that is grows cold and you send it back!! Eat the damn thing while it is hot! Then you can pay the bill and GET OUT! Then, perhaps, others can go into the place and enjoy themselves. We gave up on lunch at the pretty restaurant and decided on deli sandwiches at the pier. This article also points out something else.
