For all saree lovers,let me share with u this antique 200 year old 9 foot long, 3 feet wide Begum Bahar banarasi( woven for a child bride, 5 generations back), which i accidentally found in my moms trunk in our attick.i had only once, worn this on one Saraswati Puja, in the year 1981.my first public saree draping.. The saree, of coure was in a fragile state, and ma cleverly hid it in her trunk,to keep it away from me..then she too forgot about it.some of her designer friends wanted to recreate it, but it could not be found anywhere. When i accidentally rediscovered it today, my 2015 began with a rush of memories..
