For all you true tornado virgins, some most helpful tips. I still remember the one that leveled Tarrant County in (I think it was) April 2001. Paul and I walk out if dinner with Meredith and the rain was swirling (read going in circles). We immediately go in, tell them to turn on a main TV outlet~ ABC, NBC or CBS) and it was all over. A mile from our house, where out Maltese ended up in the backyard of the across the street neighbor, luckily unharmed, the entire brand new neighborhood was gone. It was gut- and heart-wrenching. Be safe and always prepared. Makes me want to practice drills with family again. And wondering if MD schools do drills. I cant remember any at our old schools. I remember lock down drills, but not tornado ones. Will look into that one also. Lol. Helicopter mom in effect.
