For any fans of the books The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit who do not already know this, there are many other books one can procure or borrow from a library which take place in that same fantasy world. Some were written posthumously from his notes, drafts, etc. Some of the heavier examples are The Silmarillion and The Children of Hurin. They mainly concern events in the First Age (whereas The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit take place near the end of the Third Age). Amazing books, but fair warning: They are more serious and at times darker and more tragic than anything in The Lord of the Rings. I am posting this because so many J.R.R. Tolkien fans are not aware of this, and I do not want them to miss out on something great that may strike their fancy.
