URGENT MESSAGE FROM FAA SOCIAL ADMINISTRATOR - WARNING: A scammer is attempting to exploit our E-Mail Artist feature and send a scam e-mail to some of our members with the subject line Urgent Account Update - Fine Art America. Do not open the e-mail, and definitely do NOT click on the link in the e-mail. Its a scam trying to get you to enter your credit card information onto another website. Were investigating who the scammer is right now. Sorry about this. Unfortunately, when you allow the general public to contact artists directly as we do here on FAA, there are going to be scammers who try to exploit the system. As long as you dont click on the link and enter your credit card info, youre fine. FAA does not store your credit card information anywhere on our servers. All we store is the last four digits. Even if a hacker got full access to our entire server network, they wouldnt get your full credit card number. Thats why they need to get creative and send out scam e-mails like this in order to trick you into entering your full credit card number onto their bogus websites.
