For any photographers interested in getting into stock photography - TopicsExpress

For any photographers interested in getting into stock photography or trying to sell some of their images online for stock use I just came across a stock website that does stock photography a little different. If you are familiar with stock photography the normal process is you sign up for an account with a stock website like Dreamstime (one I have sold a few images through) and submit photos you think they will like. The photos are evaluated and go through an approval process and if the stock agency thinks there is a market for them they might get approved for sale. It is not uncommon to have several images rejected by the approval process but good photographs will get accepted and you can make a few cents to several dollars on each sale. This week I came across a different company that allows you to post images you think are sellable and there is no official approval process so your images go into their database and become available for sale right away. So you are not relying on what the approvers think might sale or what they they think is needed in their image portfolio....you are in control over the images you have for sale. Not only that but you get 50% of what the image sells for so the money per sale should be better than most other microstock sites. I signed up for an account (it is free) and have posted a few images already. The site is easy to use and gives photographers another option for selling their photos. I would recommend anyone interested in stock photography check it out. mostphotos/user_50606
