For any who have not received it, an email blast from PCO Jack - TopicsExpress

For any who have not received it, an email blast from PCO Jack Richardson, sent out to the rest of us, whether we wanted it or not: 11 December 2014 We are on the threshold of another Organization Meeting and several candidates have announced their candidacy for elected office within our party. For your kind consideration I offer the following: I have been very active in the REPUBLICAN Party of Snohomish County, particularly during the past two election-cycle terms. In my experience serving with the Chairmanship of both current candidates for the position of County Chair, I can say in most earnest terms that the term with Bill Cooper as Chair was far superior to this most recent term of office. There has not been a quorum at a single Central Committee Meeting during this most recent term. The recent administration has focused with great priority on the divisive topic of the continuity of our party and its structure. Some of the poor rationalization for the ‘Really Bad Idea’ contained in the proposed revision to our bylaws in section 9.2 is founded in opinion that is apparently not the result of analytical rigor applied to relevant documents of authority. As I mentioned in my previous posting, I served as the Parliamentarian for the Yakima GOP Organization Meeting last week. They faced similar attempts to capture the identity of the Yakima GOP and those attempts were defeated. Elect Bill Cooper to the position of County Chair and such time wasting internecine confrontation will yield to well-reasoned improvements to our REPUBLICAN Party operations, practices and policies when needed to enhance the accomplishment of our mission. Transparency and Training will be the hallmarks of Bill’s service. He will provide the results of all polling for endorsements to elected members of the Executive Board. That has not been the case during this recent term. Bill will execute the PCO training program that was developed through serious work during his previous term, an off-the-shelf existing program that has been overlooked entirely in this most recent term. Other Candidates who are vibrant REPUBLICANS with a record of hands-on participation in our County Party operations are: Bob Williams - Candidate for State Committeeman Olga Farnam - Candidate for reelection as State Committeewoman They are worthy of your trust and support. Not because they have been around a long time (they are both considerably younger than I) but because they have been selfless, tireless and motivated by a genuine desire to serve. No Candidate has approved this message… as might be understandable. Merry Christmas, Jack Richardson PCO LAKE Precinct
