For anyone interested in how we could better use our human waste, or waste from agricultutral/food waste check out the projects here around the world that are recycling natural nutrients to displace fossil fuels and make communities more self reliant. Biproduct effluent or slurry can be used as an agricultural fertilizer, creating jobs and economic benefit locally. Methane gas (which is almost identical to what comes out of our gas hobs and ovens) can be used directly for cooking or lighting, or burned to create electricity or hot water and also generate local employment and benefit. ashden.org/biogas
