For anyone who is (once again) posting the Privacy Post - IT IS - TopicsExpress

For anyone who is (once again) posting the Privacy Post - IT IS STILL A HOAX. It was last year, the year before, the year before that, etc etc etc. Facebook does not have ownership of anything you post - check the policies for yourself. Both you and FB agreed to allow Facebook limited distribution rights of your posts - if you post it publicly, they are allowed to let anyone else on or off Facebook to see your post, not to reproduce it or gain royalties from it. If you set it to private, you control who sees it. And before you get into what hackers can do, hacking is ILLEGAL, and not condoned by or done by Facebook (why would they hack something you posted on Facebook already?). Facebook sells stock in their company, yes. However, do you also believe that Xerox shareholders own your photocopies, that FedEx shareholders enjoy ownership rights of your packages, and that Chevrolet stockholders can come take a joyride in your truck? Because thats what youre saying if you believe FB shareholders have ownership rights of your posts. Posting a privacy post has no legal value. Zip. Nada. You cannot retroactively negate an agreement you made in a contract without both parties agreeing to such a negation. If you want to nullify the agreement, you are free to delete your account at any time. From Snopes: snopes/computer/facebook/privacy.asp
