For anyone who likes science and painting, I recommend the documentary Tims Vermeer. Its about the efforts of a wealthy tech inventor who attempts to paint a Vermeer painting by using a device (combo of camera obscura plus mirrors). He has no artistic talent, but is able, eventually, to exactly reproduce the painting. To do it, he also had to build a perfect replica of the room in which the painting was posed.
