Cavan is a gorgeous full 15.2h 5y attractive blanket spot gelding. He has excellent conformation,looks and temp. Cavan is a horse that you very rarely see for sale,He has the most amazing temperament and is really honest and polite in every way. He can be handled by literally anyone from a non horsey mother to tiny children. He is excellent to lead,catch,bath,plait (stands like a rock) Excellent to mount from a mounting block,from the floor or a leg up. Really good around children he is not phased by them running round him or playing on there bikes. Hes happy to be groomed by the kids and for them to pick his feet out. Schooling: (snaffle mouth at all times) He is on the steady side of medium to ride. Not sharp,spooky or silly and is very steady in all 3 paces. He adapts to what ever rider is on his back he really looks after a nervous rider but will up his game if an experience rider who wants to do more. Show jumping: Cavan is very steady in to a fence and he always just does enough. He never over jumps the fences there for ideal for a nervous jumping jockey.Hes happily jumping 110m single fences and 1m courses.He has been compete in Ireland at non registered shows at 1m level. Open spaces/traffic. Cavan is fantastic in open spaces he doesnt light up or get strong or silly. He is a confidant chap who is happy to go out alone both trough the forests,across fields and in every traffic. He happily crosses the A47 and doesnt worry about buses,lorry,tractors or trailers. Cavan is also great to hack out incompany. He will go in any position up front,middle or back. He will canter upfront and lead others or will follow behind with out being strong or silly. (Washing line rains he is safe) Working livery: Cavan May be suitable for working livery for private lessons or hacks. He has had riders of all abilities ride him, he doesnt get flustered and is unflappable. Hunting: Because of his quiet laid back disposition he is a fabulous hunter! Ridden by novice: Cavan has been ridden both hacking and in the school by my novice 9y old son. He doesnt get sharp or strong or take advantage and has proven to be genuine and safe for Patrick to ride. Riding club: Cavan would be a fantastic horse for all PC activities. Hes versatile and excels in all 3 disciplines. He would be a perfect horse to take to camp because of his polite easy to work with quiet temperament. Xc: Cavan has been schooled xc round BE pre novice courses he was very easy and uncomplicated and jumped every fence confidently yet was still suitable for a novice to handle. Soundness/vice free He is 1001% a sound and correct mover.He moves straight and has no dishing or twisted limbs. His feet are strong and all 4 match. He has no sarcoids or scars. No itchs or allergies. He has no stable vices. Does NOT wind suck,weave,box walk,crib. Recently passed 5stage vetting with bloods. Apart from his age this horse presents the attitude of a schoolmaster. He is uncomplicated and unflappable. With more miles on the clock he will be bombproof. Because of his age Id like an experienced home. He would need someone on the ground who could give help to further his education if competent novices was to ride him. No complete novices need apply or no homes were there isnt someone experienced to help school him. This horse is a dream in everyway. First to see will definitely buy!
