For dinner last night I made "speedy beans", a recipe from Backwoodsman Magazine. They were "speedy" only in that they were canned and required only heating. I cut up potato, onion, red & green pepper and ham. Had both garlic & just a bit of jalapeno. Quite tasty! Had Bubba make salsa from the fresh tomatoes, jalapenos (thanks, Jessica Britt Wiencek & Lawrence Wiencek!), onion, garlic & cilantro. Being uncultured white folk, we ate it with saltine crackers!
