For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45 If you are like me you would rather serve then be served. That was something I struggled with for a long time. I never asked for help when I could have used it. I didn’t want to be a burden on others. I love the feeling God gives me when I serve him and others. The thing is if we don’t allow others to serve us then we are robbing them of that feeling of being a servant. A wise man once told me that not long ago. Don’t feel like I did when I thought I would be a burden to others. The truth is God puts people in your life to serve you, and they will if you allow them. Christ was a servant to his people! None of us are so good that we don’t need help at times. None of our lives are perfect that we never have a time where we are down. Allow others to serve you! Don’t be afraid to let others know you are not perfect. I tell all the people I know that I am always here for them! I told someone that not long ago and they said “yeah but you need someone to be there for you too”. It was so true! Lean on God and lean on the people God has blessed you with in your life!
