For everyone who has messaged us in the last day asking how Monster was doing in her classes here is an update. Leila didnt compete today, yesterday in her second round, after fence 5 she ripped of a hind shoe. Before it came fully off she stepped on the clip driving it up into her sole. Being the big mare with to much heart that she is Monster continued on course and completed double clean but throughout that day and the next has gotten progressively worse. Today we pulled the shoe and have poulticed her foot. We will continue to do so for the next 48 hours and hope for the best. Orangeville will be a week of resting and healing and hopefully we will be back in the ring for Anglestone next week. Thank you to Ashley for brining emergency bute and carrots and Peter Gisborn for continually helping to check soundness and making the call to pull her from the week. She has great people working on her and hopefully all will be well soon :)
