For everyone who knows coach K, pops or just grandpa and Bubba... - TopicsExpress

For everyone who knows coach K, pops or just grandpa and Bubba... I am the bearer of what is to come. The cancer his advanced and were forced to begin the hardest journey that no family should have to face. As I left the hospital today his words echoed in my head, Im not leaving here. I just have this feeling. After the lung Dr and the ICU Dr informed me of the severity if his condition it took everything I had to hold back the tears that were trying to burst free. As I was riding home on my scooter I began to pray, asking God to please not let him suffer. Then I stuffed my selfish sorrows away and grabbed ahold of my faith and trust in God. Took the experienced advice from Danny who had recently lost his wife of 20 years to cancer. He told me, no matter how hard you stomp the break, smash your shoulder against it, or pull on the reigns, its gonna happen. It wont stop the pain but it will give some relief to know that this is a part of life. I began to understand that I dont have control over what God has planned for any of us and that our time here is temporary. To know that I will one day meet up with him and remember not how he passed but how he live. He touched so many lives. For some, youll remember how he coached football or your baseball team. Our how he always went out of his way to give you something he couldnt afford but wanted you to have the best. Opened his heart and his home to just about everyone at Little Yankee Stadium through the years. Please take a minute and thank God for any time he spent making growing up a time to remember. I don’t know how much more time he does have but I do know its not much longer. I love you dad, pops, Bubba..... Dont be afraid, God is waiting to make you well again. Everything is as He planned.
