For everyone who thinks ill of WhatsApp penalizing its users, - TopicsExpress

For everyone who thinks ill of WhatsApp penalizing its users, there is a clause in WhatsApp T&C that prohibits circumventing the official app for unauthorized access, which means using an unofficial client. Try using some shady apps to connect to your Facebook or Twitter, it might land you a ban as well. This is perfectly suited since you are using their services out of the way it is intended. WhatsÀpp Plus is an unofficial client. In stricter sense, what they did is illegal, even the name of the app itself. WhatsApp is a trade mark. Which is why the official Android Play Store doesnt approve it. It doesnt meet any regulations, and cannot be held responsible for anything it does!! #WhatsApp is not a free service either, by using it through 3rd party apps, you are essentially stealing into the developers revenue. There could be a chance that these modified apps can cause harm to the users, spam their contacts, or even steal data. Guess who gets the blame? The real developer! They have every right to ban such users, assume control of their own service. After all WhatsApp is no such monopoly; For starters, they do give out their services mostly free and dont bombard you with ads. So same courtesy is expected from the users too! bbc/news/technology-30912823
