For friends and family of Joannes and mine in Saskatchewan I would like to give you an update for plans to bring Joanne to rest in the family cemetery in Flowing Well. The blunt fact is I have been emotionally unable to take this step so far - I am ok :-) but every time I try to phone out that way I am unable to. I can type so I felt an update was badly needed even if done so impersonally. I hope to have the journey completed before the ground freezes this year - if that is not reasonably possible than it will be my only priority after spring thaw. The timing ultimately will be decided by Deb, Reg, Connie and Glen - whatever the window is that accommodates both farmers and ranchers as determined by them - that is when it will happen. Again, if that is not possible this year it shall be done ASAP next year. I have yet to talk to those families - I really have wanted to and hope to be strong enough soon :-) I have a design sketched up for a memorial granite ground totem memorial to be made up in memory of Joanne and myself :-) I also have a design for Jos brother Michaels headstone that I will have laid at the same time. I believe I have found a supplier in Victoria that can do this work. I still have to meet with them and I still want to check out the possibility of local SK suppliers. When the event does happen I plan for it to be simple. I am hoping to play the original service in the Lutheran Church that Joanne was so proud of her family for the relationship they had with it. I was hoping to have a picnic or something at the homestead and if some folks had an instrument or two that would make it perfect :-) These are my hopes and plans - as I say I have to get on it.
