For he is a god indeed, without an equal, no other came to be before him, Lord of wisdom, wise in counsel, potent in commanding words; Envoys come and go to do his bidding, and he it is subdues the foreign lands: the father stays behind within the palace, the son reporting:what is ordered it is done. The 9 Great Gods are come from the waters, gathered to worship the dayspring of Majesty, Lord of Lords, who made himself God out of nothing, Lord of all deities, He is the Lord. And those who must sleep and awaken, He shines for them too to brighten their faces in visible form: His eyes glow kindly, His ears are listening, and each naked creature is clothed in his light. The creatures most truly know Him at this hour of His rising beauty- life itself is to see him each day; They lie in his hand, signed in his own hieroglyphic, and no god but God breaks the seal of their love.
