“For his anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life; - TopicsExpress

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5 KJV Thanksgiving is tomorrow and the festive activities of Christmas are next month. For some this will be a difficult time to endure. Many have lost loved ones this year and in years past. Memories of that loved one will surface and pierce the heart for missing them so. The emotion of anger will even creep in for a moment. It is in that moment that those emotions of anger, regret, hurt and even disappointment will only last for just that a MOMENT. In God there is LIFE!! Your loved one has not departed from you for their SPIRIT is always near. I too have lost family members over the years. The hardest was the lost of my DADDY in 2012. It has only been 2 years since his physical body left me, and yes I long to have him near during the holidays, but God needed him more. If I sit and think about how hard and hurtful it is without him I have to remind myself how wonderful the memories are of him when he was with me. Those memories of him smiling, the smile I inherited from him, all the time. The memories of him telling me how he loved me. The memories of him sending me my first greeting card. The memories of he and I laughing and watching football. If we think on those things which are good then the hurt we feel for losing them so soon will be easier to deal with. My wife lost her mother less than 2 months ago. This holiday season will be hard for her and her sisters as they prepare for Thanksgiving dinner on tomorrow. I shared with her this morning that her mother is smiling on her and her sisters as I speak, for she wanted more than anything was for them to come together. I also shared with her that her spirit will be with them as they prepare that meal on tomorrow. The joy that we have as believers never dies. That spirit is a part of us because God is a part of us. Our joy will outweigh the tears we shed at night. So my beloved, honor your loved one during the holiday season. Never forget them, but know that God is with you and you will make it through. Cry and scream if you must, but allow the love God has for you overshadow those hurtful emotions. Weeping only endures for A NIGHT, for JOY does come in the morning!! Be Blessed Beloved. I love you but God loves you more.
