For immediate release: Friday, August 15, 2014 SUBJECT: Clarinda Police Make Drug Arrests On Saturday, August 9th, at 3:50 a.m. Clarinda Police Officers responded to a loud party/noise complaint at 422 N. 17th Street. The residence is rented by James Kinghorn, age 21. Kinghorn was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. Also arrested were Brodie Lee Bergren, age 21, of Clarinda for possession of a controlled substance and Jared Daniel Wiebesiek, age 23, of Clarinda for possession of a controlled substance. All three were taken into custody and booked into the Page County Jail while awaiting initial appearances before the Page County Magistrate. The matter has been referred to the Page County Attorney’s Office for review and the formal filing of charges. It must be remembered that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The filing of a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, based upon probable cause.
