For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Dearly beloved, The Bible says in Job 39:27,28, “Does the eagle mount up at your command, And make its nest on high? On the rocks it dwells and resides, On the crag of the rock and the stronghold.” Likewise, the Lord is going to take you to the peak of the mountain and place you there. Today, you may be an ordinary person. But you shall dwell peacefully in the stronghold as said in the Bible, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). Here is a wonderful testimony from Bro. Mohan as to how the Lord was a strong tower to him and his family: “My wife Sonia was suffering from an issue of blood since 5 years because of which she could not conceive for the second time. We consulted so many doctors and took treatments for her but in vain. She went through an agonizing path for 5 years. Sometimes, she had severe pain and could not bear that physical agony. She used to take pills to stop it but it would trigger severe stomach pain. She always had to lie down. She could not go anywhere or do anything; could not even share her pain with anyone. At this miserable state, I came to Chennai with my sister where I came to know that Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran was sharing the message in the Family Blessing Meeting at the Vanagaram Prayer Tower. I attended that meeting with my sister. After the meeting, when Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran was praying individually for everyone, I approached her and sought her prayers. Sis. Evangeline placed her hands on my head and prayed with burden. Her prayer was powerful. After the prayer, she comforted me saying that the Lord will do a miracle. What a wonder! After an hour of her prayer, when I contacted my wife by phone, she said joyously, ‘It is nearly one hour since my sickness and pain had stopped.’ Our joy knew no bounds.” My wife could not believe this miracle that happened in her body. At the exact moment when Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran placed her hands on me and prayed, the Lord sent His power into my wife who was in Bengaluru and delivered her completely. Since then there is no more sickness and pain for her. She has become quite normal. I thank dear sister who prayed for my wife. Glory to Jesus! Yes, the wife of Bro. Mohan was then in Bengaluru. But he was in Chennai in the Vanagaram Prayer Tower. The Lord granted a miraculous healing to that sister who was in a far off place, hearing the prayers offered in the Chennai Prayer Tower. Am I a God near at hand, says the LORD, And not a God afar off?... Do I not fill heaven and earth? asks the LORD” (Jeremiah 23:23,24). Yes, that sister might have lamented, ‘How long should I suffer like this?’ But the Lord healed her within a moment. Perhaps, you too are languishing in such agony. The Lord is gracious to heal you today, right now. Wait for Him with faith and in prayer. The Psalmist says, “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock” (Psalm 27:5). God will keep you safe in His dwelling. He will hide you in the shelter of His presence. He will keep your way secure and make you stand on high places. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You are the Rock Eternal. I take refuge in You, the strong tower in whom I trust. Keep me safe in your dwelling in the day of trouble. Hide me in the shelter of your presence. Set my feet on a rock and give me a firm place to stand. Deliver me in times of trouble and enable me to dwell peacefully. Your matchless name I pray.
