For many days now I have been walking and praying for wisdom and strength. Strength because it has seemed that for the last week I have been extremely weary, wisdom because major decisions that will effect our future need to be made. Each night I come home from my walk and feel that I should write but simply felt too tired. Last night, I had John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches:He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:for without me ye can do nothing, continuously on my mind. I am not sure all that the Lord is emphasizing to me but I do know that the latter part of the verse will not leave my mind while I am praying. Without me you can do nothing. The more I walk with Him, the more I want to walk and talk to Him. The more I abide in Him and in His Word the more I know that He will hear and answer my prayers. The more we are together the more that I know I am nothing and He is everything. It is so easy to find our value and identity in what we do, or the position we hold but when you abide in Him, you understand more fully that your value and identity is not in a what but Who. In Him I have the promise of Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Without Him, I can do nothing. The more you know Him, the more you know how much you need Him.
