For many years, Mom and Dad would drop everything at a moments notice for someone in need. Today, many of our friends returned that kind of selflessness. I am humbled by the generosity and love of our friends from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and New Light Baptist Church who arrived as a warrior cavalry to help us make a HUGE dent in the clean the barn and pack the house efforts as we get closer to the big moving day. To the men from both churches who took on that huge job of tackling the barn interior with Dad---you all earned stars today in your heavenly crowns, and I will NEVER forget your kindness. Other special thanks: Jess Swafford for organizing an amazing team of wonderful men (including Logan!); Juanita Hendrix, Melody Hoffman, Loretta Day Loner, and Heather Loner for their super hard work in packing up many fragile items and kitchen items (no small feat); to Jeff Eubanks and his son for lots of sweat and labor for the second weekend in a row----I have no doubt Mom is smiling down on all of us from heaven above today and so humbled by your generosity of spirit and time. Thank you to all family members of these wonderful helpers for sharing your loved ones and their time and energy to help us in our hour of need. I hope I will have the honor of returning your kindness one day when the time comes that you need it. Dad and I both thank you for EVERYTHING, and we thank you for helping us find joy even in these hard times. Please continue your good vibes and prayers as we head down the home stretch. While there is much I may not understand just yet, I have learned so much from these challenging times of the last two years, and it is my sincere hope that I will somehow channel what I have learned into good I can do for others in some way. Last but not least somehow---thank you Christina Mitchell for your unwavering calm presence as we roll through these last few big waves. Godspeed to all of you special people.
