For many years now I have decided, re-decided, changed my mind, attempted, backed out, enrolled, un-enrolled and on and on in school attempts and career choices! But I think I really got it this time ;) I dont want to just work, I want to make a difference, change the world, stand for something and I want it to move me, to fill my spirit! I am first a mom, a recovering addict and a wife, nothing will ever top those.... But no reason I cant get a started on my post-children plans! Drum roll please... I am going to get a degree in sociology focusing on gender studies! I want work with the feminists and womens liberators around the world! I am inspired and moved deeply when I read about when women stand for other women and what they accomplish and I want to advocate for the oppressed! Until the kids are grown I can work local and find something here, but someday I want to work for the United Nations of women or some like minded cause that fights for child brides, religiously oppressed women being stoned because mysoganistic fairy tails, acid victims, the poverty stricken and so much more! I am so exited, I enrolled (again) and I am taking my first sociology class. So wish me luck!! Can you just see it now!?! Me and Theo protesting the White House in a protest I organized and bringing awareness to some over looked group of women and children who deserve equality and demanding action be taken! Then after a plan is set in motion to right those wrongs we go visiting our grand kids and to a convention nearby :) ok, maybe it wont work just like that, but I am excited for this movement in a new direction!
