For me, Middle Village was a wonderful town to grow up and live - TopicsExpress

For me, Middle Village was a wonderful town to grow up and live in. We all have something that we arent happy with about how things are here today. But for me its about walking up the same avenue that my grandmother and I used to walk to her restaurant during summers when I was 7 years old. Or maybe watching a little league ball game at Juniper where my father took me to play. I still have my old school and church, St. Margarets with a different story for each day spent there in my youth. Brennan Park where I used to hang out with my friends. My children, all 3 were brought home from the hospital to their first home, in Middle Village. I had my first date, my first kiss and my first fight in Middle Village. I remember Oscars, Willies Nick N Andys, Larrochias. I remember Frank the barber, the matron at the Arion theater, the cashiers at Bohacks. I remember those friends I lost way too early. I remember the Rub a dub pub, the V.I., Belles and Johns. I will always have fond memories of my hometown and that is something special to me. No one can tarnish my memory of how I lived and loved life here. Yes its not like it used to be but all things change. The people who have been here for so long are the backbone of this little town. We persevere and still consider this place our home.
