For me, like for many Texans, Thanksgiving is a time to stop and to be grateful for the many blessings God has bestowed - especially our freedom. Its also a time to watch really great football. This year, in addition to college and pro ball, Im keeping tabs on six high school teams from the region that are playing in the quarterfinals of the state football championships (Iraan, Grandfalls-Royalty, Sabinal, La Pryor, Sonora, and SA Harlandale). It will be a fun weekend. Playing football isnt something these teams just go out and do. They work hard and prepare for weeks, develop their game plans, and come out of their locker rooms excited, united & with a clear strategy to win. Thats exactly what our team is doing now. Already, two separate extremist groups have started a disingenuous TV smear campaign against me. I cant sit back -- I am working every day & building the framework of a winning even now.
