For me the only justification for this shallow media circus has been the discovery of the boy from South Shields who has transformed all our lives in a way that few entertainers ever have or ever will again. He and his wonderful family have brought something rare and special into all of our lives. Watching him in concert has been a rare and special experience. My great hope is that I shall see this boy become the great star that his rare and extraordinary talent deserves together with the total eclipse of the man who has done so much behind the scenes to prevent this from happening all because the boy from South Shields would not yield to the demands of such a shallow and insincere person.
