For me, the theme for this day....and tomorrow, should we be so blessed to have it, is Gratitude. Last night Lucian had one of those nights where he just couldnt let go of the day. He would be just inches away from sleep and then start chatting again...sharing thoughts and feelings about things that matter to him...his firetruck, Mommy, the Halloween train, teacher David Humphrey, etc...then he looks up to me out of the silence and says, Remember when you had on the green shirt and were riding your bike with no hands?...and no hair?....and no one would give you hair?...then he reaches up and puts his hand on my head, Look at how much hair you have now....you want scratches, Mama? I am so grateful to be here.
