For me, there is nothing better than being a wife and a mother. To love someone else unconditionally and to give of yourself expecting nothing in return is an amazing feeling. God has blessed me abundantly and every day I am sure to thank Him for my family. Very rarely, and its usually out of necessity, do I think of or put myself above others. Our daily lives, our Christian walk, should reflect this. To become a true servant of Christ we have to love others above ourselves. We may not ever be asked to lay down our lives for someone else, but we must be willing to lay aside our own wants and needs and feelings from time to time. I am so very thankful thank that God gave me a servants heart. I am thankful that I can be in tune to the needs of others around me. I am so incredibly thankful that I have such a desire to pray for others. I know I cant fix their problems, but I am in constant contact with the One who can. God is just so good. I know I am not perfect, far from it in fact, but I know He made me perfectly in His image. He made me just how He wants me. Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
