For months, we have been excitedly looking forward to Joes Battle Back Fundraiser. The response of everyone this past Friday night was amazing. We had so many donations, we actually had to tell people we couldnt accept any more. And, we sold so many tickets in the last 48 hours that we had to suspend online sales so our caterer could adjust. Then, over 100 additional guests showed up at the door to buy tickets and patiently waited to get in until dinner had wrapped up. We had over 600 guests from all over Colorado and several other states, an amazing speech by Olympic Gold Medalist Rulon Gardner, wonderful music, delicious food and dessert, and inspiring silent and live auction items. Our family was blessed beyond belief by the support of all our community, friends and family. To have so many of you attend that have played so many different roles in our lives - from the time our kids were little to now - and to have you all in one room was humbling and inspiring. And then there was the fundraising ... It was beyond belief! Because of the tremendous outpouring of auction items, the amazing live auction trips, the huge number of the matching gifts and, most of all, you bids, support and generosity, we raised more than $65,000! Those funds will be a HUGE help in covering the costs Joes future rehab, ongoing medical care, and adaptive equipment. We are so appreciative. Thank you all so very much for your continuous prayers, your love and support.
