For more great recipes like this one come by and check out my cooking https://facebook/groups/223851651100373/ My Sweet Bread Pudding 1 sweet stale bread, torn into pieces (I over baked the one I made yesterday by accident) 2 cups whole milk 1 cup eggnog 4 eggs 1 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon a pinch of salt Toppings raisins walnuts 1 cup brown sugar zest of one orange cinnamon to sprinkle Butter the inside of your baking dish . In a blender add the milk, eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and pour a thin layer into the bottom of your oven proof dish. Than arrange the sweet bread pieces inside than pour more of the milk mixture over the bread, making sure it gets into all the nooks , another layer of bread and than pour milk mixture. Keep doing this until you have no more sweet bread.. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight to fully absorb the custard. When you are about ready to bake remove from refrigerator. Set the pudding on the counter while the oven is pre-heating to take some of the chill off. At this time sprinkle brown sugar over the bread pudding and top with raisins and walnuts and sprinkle some cinnamon. Pre-heat the oven to 325° with a rack in the middle of the oven. Bake uncovered for 45 - 55 minutes (This will vary depending on your oven). The pudding is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean and the tips are starting to toast. Let stand for at least 10 minutes before serving. Once I cut a slice I poured store bought prepared caramel over my individual slice.(Just my preference)
