It’s known as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean” because of its lush forests, white sand beaches, and incredible mineral resources. It also has an interesting Christian heritage: tradition says Thomas the Apostle visited Sri Lanka during the first century. Today, true believers in Jesus are a tiny minority in this predominantly Buddhist state. Thanks to faithful workers and the Word of God, that’s changing. R. Latha wrote Bible League International to declare, “I want to confess my sins and to accept Jesus Christ. I want to learn more about Jesus. I had a habit of lying. I used to be angry with others. But now, these have changed. I came to know about Jesus who forgives my sins.” The Lamb, Jesus Christ, has come and delivered His salvation to the world. His bride, believers in Jesus, grows each day because of workers like those in Sri Lanka. One day, the Lord will gloriously return, and all believers will make themselves ready to adore Him for eternity. Until then, ask God to give your opportunities to build his church—so others may know Him! Prayer Lord, I love the book of Revelation and the future promises it forsees for me and all Christians.
