For most of Sunday afternoon the three young Ospreys perched in a shady tree below the nest.The female ever close by was perched on another branch. 7C saw the male approaching with a fish and quickly flew to the nest. She took the fish, circled the nest and landed on a dead branch below. Here she expertly held the slippery fish over the branch while tucking in to her meal. It is said that we are never more than a few feet from a rat but in an Ospreys case I think its a few feet from a Magpie!
