For my 21st birthday my mom got me an Italian Cream Rum Cake. Amazing. Ever since I wanted another for my birthday. One year shortly after David attempted to order it and came home with a bundt cake. He forgot about this. This year I was dying to have it again and I told him be very specific that its an Italian Rum Cake and that is has icing. Wouldnt you know Christmas Eve he returns with another bundt cake. And it reeked of rum. I wasnt convinced it would be edible. My wonderful (still sometimes a butthead) husband stayed up until 2am prepping a new cake from scratch. Then spent a chunk of today attempting to make his own icing to ice the cake. The inside is cherry pie filling. This is the best cake Ive even seen. The most perfect birthday cake. David is definitely my perfect mate. Ps the rum cake was edible, but not the Italian cream cake. I fear Ill never taste that cake again.
