For my Union County friends who have yet to vote, please consider Leslie Boyd for Union County Board of Education- At Large. You have a choice for 1 at-large seat tomorrow, Leslie is 1 of the 3 candidates running on the ballot in this non-partisan BOE election (and really, should anything having to do with the education of our children be partisan?) Some of the strong points behind why you should consider voting for Leslie: • 20+ years in facility planning and management for a department within DHS. • Ability to excel in position demonstrates her ability and willingness to work with everyone. • Long history of community involvement and involvement with Union County schools. • Service on, and PRESIDENCY of, the board of Turning Point Inc., one of Union Countys premier non-profits - which demonstrates both her personnel management skills (overseeing hiring of top staff) and her fiscal conservatism (this non-profit runs INCREDIBLY efficiently, stretching every dollar). * Endorsed by the Union County NCAE for her strong support of whats going on in our classrooms.
