For my friends and family awaiting updates on Della: She got through the angioplasty with flying colors. It was very complicated and took hours, but they were able to clear two of three main arteries and put in two stents and they look beautiful and she is responding beautifully. She has such a wonderful doctor who was willing to do things others said could not be done. He was willing to take risks and Della responded beautifully. She should be able to come off the ventilator tomorrow (although she wants it out NOW.) She will need to stay in the hospital for at least another week. Then another week to two weeks to convalesce, which means that after the Ren. Faire ends in two weeks well be up here an extra week until she feels up to traveling home. I believe that all the wonderful positive energy from everyone is to be credited for much of this miraculous outcome of a very high risk procedure in her critical condition and I want to thank all and everyone for their wonderful thoughts of her, their love, their energy. I believe all of it helps. Plus, her doctor was just amazing. Where he came from and how he was here at the right and proper time, Ill never know, but he is just a wonderful guy. A genius. He did literally save her life. Della is getting the best of care right now. Ive been able to tell her she is doing well. Ive been able to reassure her that we will make it through this. Super thanks to my friends from the Washington Midsummer Ren. Faire who came and sat with me all afternoon, Leah, Paul and Charlie. Thank you guys so much. You really saved my sanity by being there for me, to distract me and support me and make me laugh during such a hard time. Thank you all, and everyone here on FB and all our friends.
