For my friends out there who suffer from debilitating migraines, - TopicsExpress

For my friends out there who suffer from debilitating migraines, how do you control them? I seriously think Ive tried it all, which Im sure I havent so I thought Id ask. I know my triggers, avoid them like the plague, I have tried Imitrex and other prescriptions, I have used oils and plenty of home remedies like Gatorade and a warm coke. Ive asked my pcp for a preventative but he is hesitant because Im in child bearing age, so theres my dilemma. Today is only the 2nd day all week I havent battled the same migraine:(. As a last resort, I usually end up taking a trip to the hospital for a shot and some iv fluids because Im dehydrated from vomiting. Now thats a last resort that usually has to be demanded of me by Michael Huber. I havent had to resort to this in over a year but I dont want to ever again either and after this week, I just want to get these darn things under control. So, what works for you?
