For my pal Charles H. Ed Hill is the president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union. He is also someone who wishes that conservatives had successfully defeated ObamaCare. Well, that’s his opinion today. Around the 2009-2010 time frame, when ObamaCare was still being debated in Congress and in the media, Mr. Hill and his union buddies were big supporters of the President’s health care plan. The reason that they were supporters of his health care plan is for one unbelievably stupid reason: they actually believed the promises that President Obama made about it. Of course, as conservatives, we knew that those promises were bunk. We said so repeatedly. But did Mr. Hill listen to us? Nope. Now, he wishes that he had listened us. Because now he also realizes that those promises that President Obama made were bunk. He said as much to AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka’s face. It’s hard to feel sorry for someone as naive as Mr. Hill. Having been involved in the union movement for 56 years, he should know that Democrats lie on a regular basis, especially when making promises about bolstering the middle class or only raising taxes on the rich. He was duped because he was an idiot. Now, members of his union are going to lose health care coverage because he was duped. Honestly, we don’t even shed crocodile tears for the economically pig-ignorant pee-wits who actually believed anything this President tried to say about his health care reform plan. It was never about health care. It was about making the middle class more dependent on government and expanding the welfare state. People will suffer because Mr. Hill played the fool.
