For none of us lives for ourselves alone For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. Three reasons reason why you belong to God: Creation. The Bible says, ‘God created man in His own image…male and female He created them’ (Genesis 1:27 NKJV). If there’s a design, there must be a designer. If there’s a creation, there must be a Creator. And since God made you, He holds ownership rights over you. The Bible says: ‘Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s’ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV). Not only did God create you, He gave you certain gifts so that you could fulfil His purposes and bring glory to Him. So before they tag your toe and write your obituary, ask God what you were born to do. Only by finding and fulfilling His purpose, can you fill the God-shaped space within you that you were born with.
