For our Arabic readers! The most read newspaper in Iraq, Al-Sabaah, recently ran translations of three of Janes poems on its Culture page. The translations were done by Dunya Mikhail, a poet herself, now living in the U.S. The three translated poems can be found on Page 11 of the August 3 edition of the paper, linked here. The three poems are “A Photograph of A Face Half Lit, Half in Darkness,” “As A Hammer Speaks to a Nail,” and “In A Room with Five People, Six Griefs.” The third of these is already published and can be found in Janes book After (2006).
